You will find scandinavia's largest waterpark in Bø in Telemark. Stop by Bø Sommarland, where the entire family can enjoy fast-paced slides and pools that guaranteed will cause excitement with children of all ages. Here you will find pools for the smallest of children and «Magasuget», one of the toughest and challenging slides in the world. You will find the climbing park Høyt & Lavt near First Camp Bø close to the waterpark. Try the red route with Norway's biggest Tarzan leap and go for a dive in the pool on the camping afterwards. It isn't far to First Camp Norsjø either if you want to try one of Europe's greatest cable wake parks in Norsjø Kabelpark.
Farms with activity parks
For younger children, animals are always fun. We recommend a trip to Hulfjell Family Park in Drangedal or Foldvik Family Park in Stavern. The farm in Drangedal is beautifully located by Lake Toke. They have installed Norway’s largest water park with inflatable castles and trampolines in the water. In addition, kids can meet the animals or challenge themselves on a nine-meter-high climbing wall. At Foldvik Family Park, kids can enjoy different activities, like jumping out of the barn or trampolines to train rides, x-cross cars and farm animals.
Hiking at 1000 m.a.s.l.
Near the top of Southern Norway, in Rauland you can also stay at the historical Rauland Høgfjellshotell, which has its' own indoor swimming pool. Vierli Hyttegrend has cabin rental in all different sizes. Rauland also offers great hiking opportunities with the stone laid hike to Falkeriset, which is a route accessible for children as well.

Du Verden maritime museum and science centre will satisfy even the most curious of families in beautiful environments near Porsgrunn river in Porsgrunn. Experience the «Vitenshowet» and take a trip to the «Ship simulator» and «Astro amphitheater» to quench your thirst for knowledge. Porsgrunn lies not far from Brevik, where the ferries are awaiting to take you island hopping to the 9 different islands in fjord of Langesund. Skien Leisure park is only but a short drive from Langesund, and offers a waterpark and spa, minigolf and frisbeegolf, an ice skating rink, curling and much more.
Nature's own waterpark
It doesn't need to cost anything: Eikhom in Nissedal draws tourists from afar and near to a perfect bathing spot for families with teenagers. Here you can find the potholes in Eikhom, nature's own waterpark. The potholes are creatured by mother nature herself through millions of years. Jump into the water and slide down the rocks to the refreshing sensation of bathing out in the wild. Expect the water to be warm and comfortable on sunny days, with the surrounding mountains almost «capturing» the warmth of the sun to warm the water. It will be hard to find a bathing spot as unique as the potholes! You can find Straand Hotel not far from the potholes, which has its' own beach and bar near the lake of Nisser.
