You can take the whole family to Straand Sommerland in Vrådal. Straand Sommerland is located by the water's edge, just below the historical Straand Hotel.
The playground
On the playground you will find play equipment, slides, trampoline, plus 1 large water trampoline, swing set, and 2 beach volleyball courts. On the large grassy plain behind the playground you have opportunities for ball games and other activities, in addition to a beautiful sandy beach for sunbathing and playing.
Climbing tower
Straand Sommerland has one of Scandinavia's tallest climbing towers, 12 meters high! Here are climbing routes for both beginners and experienced climbers - as well as a separate area for rappelling. Contact the hotel if you want to rent the climbing tower. You are required to have documented training and your own equipment to rent the climbing tower.
Rental of boats, canoes and pedal boats
At Straand Sommerland you can rent rowing boats, canoes and wooden boats from May to October. If you come to visit with your own boat, you can moor the boat on the pier.
Outdoor restaurant
The outdoor restaurant serves simple dishes and sells ice cream, soft drinks, beer and wine. Some evenings there is entertainment with troubadours.
The restaurant is open from approx. June 20 to approx. 10. August if the weather allows.

Bicycle rental
You can also rent a bike if you want to take a bike ride. The hotel has bicycle hire from reception and the hotel is a "Cyclist Welcome" and "Welcome Hiker" company.
