Download the new outdoors audioguide at our reception, and learn about ecology, plants,birds and animal on your way, available in 10 languages.Very family friendly, there are 10 benches along the trail.
The exhibition includes 6 sections:
An introductory meeting - taking the visitor on a tour of the 4 seasons with the reindeer.
A scientific section - where the biology and ecology of the wild reindeer is presented. Discover where the wild reindeer is located on the globe, and information about the various wild reindeer habitats in Norway.
A historical section - about the origins of the wild reindeer, its roaming patterns, and its relationship to humans.
A scientific section - that covers the management and research connected to the wild reindeer on the mountain plateau.
A "red-light" section - presenting the various challenges and threats facing the wild reindeer today such as the loss of space, disturbances, increase in traffic, etc.
A reflective section - where the visitor can reflect upon various scenarios connected to the wild reindeer and Hardangervidda.
Furthermore, the centre has a nature laboratory for student and schools.
