About

This part of the coastal path is easy to walk, as large parts of the stage go along roads and otherwise on open and good trails.

From the Breviks bridge you walk further down the hill past the Bamble library. Below the library you follow Strandgata through the old, charming settlement on Stathelle. Here was the ferry port at the time "old southern national highway 40" passed through Stathelle.

After passing the park at Stathelle, it is recommended to take a detour to Croftholmen. Here you will find, among other things, the old Croft villa, which was built in drag style in the late 1800s. In the north of the islet you will find several memories from the sailing days. Here are well-preserved warp parties, warpings and mooring parties.

The path follows Langesundsveien before continuing to the right up Bunesveien to Stathelle children's school. Here the trail enters the forest and on past Eik farm. It might be worth taking a detour there.

(One possible alternative to the coastal path up Bunesveien is to continue Langesundsveien and take a look at the shipbuilding on the east side of the road.

After Eik farm you pass the new Bamble cemetery and into the forest through the Røsskleiva nature reserve. This is a popular outdoor area with a large network of trails. The area is protected because of its lime pine forest and has a rich flora with many rare species.

Further east, you pass through Hydal's residential area, cross Stathelleveien and continue towards Langesundsfjorden. The trail goes right under the barn bridge at Fagerheimlåven, where you might experience an art exhibition. Just before the barn there is a short trail to a small beach at Langesundsfjord, where you can take a break and a bath.

From Fagerheim you continue to Skjærgården hotel and swimming park. The swimming park has offers for the whole family and opportunities for swimming both indoors and outdoors. The hotel is modern with a fantastic location on the Langesund Fjord, and offers stays and experiences for individuals as well as courses and conferences.

The trail continues towards Langesund. On the way you pass the marina, fishing harbor with fishing reception and the beautiful Halen farm. The fish shop offers delicacies right from the sea. Further towards Langesund you can see the port terminal for cruise ferries to Denmark. Then comes the guest harbor in Kongshavn. If you come by boat, this can be a nice place to start the hike on the coastal path.

From Kongshavn we come to Langesund town, with many opportunities to see and experience. Wrightegaarden has concerts and events throughout the summer, with famous stars from home and abroad. Here is also Cudrio's boathouse with fishing museum, and daily boat trips in the archipelago with the ferry to Helgeroa.

Many of the distinctive houses in Langesund have information signs that tell about the history of the buildings.
