About

Brattrein Hotel is a venerable hotel surrounded by its own park, just outside the center of Notodden. The building dates back to 1924, and much of Notodden's industrial history still resides within its walls. Here, guests can enjoy the serene atmosphere and the stunning views of Heddalsvannet and Lifjell.

Intimate hotel with meeting facilities
The intimate hotel has 60 beds spread across 35 comfortable hotel rooms, a restaurant, a bar, and meeting rooms for events and gatherings of all kinds. Regardless of the season or occasion, Brattrein Hotel is open to guests year-round.

Rjukan-Notodden Industrial Heritage
Since 2015, the Rjukan-Notodden industrial heritage has been part of UNESCO's World Heritage List, and much of this heritage is located in the Hydroparken, which is clearly visible from the hotel. If you wish to learn more about the industrial heritage, a visit to the World Heritage Center is recommended.
