About

The urge to create is incredibly strong here in the Fruitvillage, and this results in many award-winning products both nationally and internationally. Meet these great people, see and hear what they are making, taste products and buy with you home, directly from the farm where they are produced. Fruktbygda offers many different experiences and activities in a small area. Geographically, we are located right next to Bø Sommarland in Telemark and the Telemark Canal. If you're in the area, please stop by!

Thousands of fruit trees and hard-working farmers in Fruktbygda delivers 3,000 tonnes of apples and 1,000 tonnes of plums and cherries annually. Search the lush landscape with flowering fruit trees in the spring and abundant fruit trees in autumn. An unique cultural landscape with hospitable, well-kept farms awaits you. It offers tasting experiences of apple juice, vineyard and brewery products and of course accommodation and farm sales.

Fruktbygda consists of a number of experience providers:

Lindheim Frukt og Ølkompani: Microbrewery, fruit and farmsales. Experience fruit flowering in the spring and harvest in the late summer, while tasting many different beers and ciders in the garden. Lindheim Ølkompani is an award-winning microbrewery, and was ranked as the world's 5th best new brewery in 2014. In the farmshop, they sell both "growlers" and bottles of beer, in addition to arranging monthly quizzes in the pub at the barn.

Galleri Nyhuus and Nyhuus Gard: Farm sale and gallery. We are located at the Nyhuus orchard, with showrooms in the former livestock rooms. The gallery has about 100 m2 in special surroundings: The stable, the barn and the pig house. The gallery is located in a beautiful cultural landscape with a view of Lifjell and Norsjø. In addition, they make her own produced apple juice which is sold at the farm.

Evju Bygdetun: Experience a farm with traditional Telemarkstun. Evju Bygdetun is a place with peace, warmth and old village traditions in the walls. Experience rosepaintings, costume exhibition, the large collection of stick knives and other work. In the firehouse at Evju Bygdetun you can enjoy good, local food in historic surroundings. If you are lucky, you can buy fresh bread from the stone oven and every July they offer snacks of various kinds.

Gvarv Frukt og Bær: Farm shop with a unique selection of flavors, fruits and baked goods, and with a rich and varied selection of locally produced goods. Here you will also find a stone oven bakery with freshly baked home baking. Seating outside where you can enjoy a cup of coffee served from the bakery. Delicacies for all tastes.

Aarnes Kafeteria: Cafeteria with Norwegian traditional food. Aarnes cafeteria serves good homemade food made with care and is open 365 days a year. The cafeteria is located with a sheltered patio and beautiful views of Norsjø and the Fruitvillage.

Fruktgarden Nyhus: Self-picking, garden guidance, beehive viewing and courses for groups. Picking fruit straight from the trees is a wonderful experience for young and old. At Fruktgarden Nyhus you can take care of your own harvest of raspberries, gooseberries and currants.

Suigard Dyrud: Welcome to abundant berry gardens, farm sales and self-picking. Suigard Dyrud conducts versatile production with grain, fruit, berries, beekeeping, forestry and wood production. Here you will find juicy, large raspberries, currants, cherries and gooseberries, which you can either pick yourself or buy ready-picked. Here you can also buy honey from our good helpers, the bees.

Epleblomsten: Applejuice from the Fruitvillage, on the historic farm Sauar. Epleblomsten is today the largest in the country on Norwegian applejuice. In addition to apples, they also squeeze raspberries, plums, cherries and blackcurrants and have won several awards for their applejuice. In our farm shop you will find a large selection of gift packages, apple juice and exciting news such as Apple & Raspberry and Apple & Blackberry juices.

Lien Gård: Learn about the fruit's journey from tree to shop. Every fourth Norwegian apple stops by Telefrukt before it is sent on. Plums and cherries are also in the range. It can hardly be shorter than this, almost all the fruit comes from the Fruktbygda district. Telefrukt offers guided tours.
