Starting Point
The cycle route starts with First Camp Norsjø and Norsjø hotel, located near each other, but can also be started from other properties along the route. First Camp Norsjø is a great starting place for families.
Sommarlandet (The Summerland) is a light demanding tour that gives you many opportunities for different experiences if you take your time. It takes you through fruit landscape, museums, small villages and water park. We've selected a few points for you in this mini-guide:
Fruits landscape
Thousands of fruit trees and diligent farmers makes the Fruit village, "Fruktbygda". Fruktbygda delivers 3,000 tons of apples and 1,000 tons plums, cherries and cherries annually. Meet the lush landscape with flowering fruit tree in spring and bountiful fruit tree in autumn. A fantastic landscape with hospitable, manicured farms await you. It is recommended to pay a visit to the farms that offer taste sessions.
Evju bygdetun
Evju Farmyard located between Gvarv and Hørte. The old houses in the yard is from 17' and 1800s. Both inventory and many objects tells the story of a farm where owners held on rural traditions. Each house has its story and here are many good places to stop through the ride. Seasonal.
Bø center
In Bø there is a good range of shops and services and should you need to fix some of the bike, there's three sports shops here who provide. One of the campuses to TUC are also in Bø, so student life is buzzing and you find good cafe's, concerts and events here.
Bø museum
Oterholt was the first trading post and village center in Bø, and is the bridge that crosses Bøelva (the Bø river) heading towards Liheia. From ancient the square was called "Tatergata" (the Gypsy Street). Probably because it was teeming with people, trade and commerce here - a place people searched for.
Summerland
The waterpark Bø Summerland is beautifully situated in a wooded area outside Bø center and offers Europe's most exciting water attractions for tough guys from 0-100 years. In the woods around the water park you will also find great trails for hiking and biking that are well worth checking out. If you use these as a cyclist, so please show consideration to hikers.
