The sleeping box is available for booking from 13th april.
The sleeping box Fjågesund is for travelers along the Telemark Canal, for cyclists and paddlers. The sleeping box has accommodation for four people and is equipped with electricity. There is also a simple kitchen counter for cooking, as well as chairs and tables. There is also a toilet. There is power outlet inside the sleeping box for charging the phone etc. There is no access to drinking water, so you must bring it. Also bring a sleeping bag to lie in.
Accommodation costs 150 NOK per person per night. When you book the sleeping box, it is your private booking during the period you have booked, no one else should have access to the sleeping box.
The stay you book debt for one overnight stay at a time. The sleeping box is available from 15:00 the day you arrive until 12:00 the next day. If you wish to book more nights, this is of course possible to do in the booking calendar. You can also cancel or reschedule the appointment in the booking calender. Your stay is refunded if canceled 7 days before arrival.
You will find the key to the sleeping box in a code box by the door. You will receive the code once you have booked. The key is your responsibility to look after while using the sleeping box. Upon departure please lock the sleeping box and return the key in the code box and close it.
You are welcome to use the furniture and equipment but we kindly ask that you hang it back on the wall before leaving. Leave the sleeping box in the condition you yourself want to find it!
Clean up, and please remember to take your rubbish with you.

History
Fjågesund is located approximately halfway between Skien and Dalen on the Telemark Canal. On both sides of the strait are steep, almost vertical mountain sides. The name Fjågesund means the friendly, gentle strait, which can be seen in the landscape as it becomes gentler beside the canal.
There has most likely been settlements in Fjågesund for at least 5,000 years. The earliest ancient settlement in the village has been dated between 3500 BC and 2800 BC.
