Lifjelltunet is a cozy and family-friendly cabin village with 50 cabins located at the top of Lifjell. The beautiful, sunny location with views over the Telemark mountain landscape makes Lifjelltunet a perfect place to spend a few lovely vacation days. Lifjelltunet is also an ideal starting point for both hiking and skiing trips in the mountains or for adventure tours in the Mid-Telemark region.
The trails start right outside the cabin door, offering both easy and more challenging options.
The area has a service building with a reception and a store where you can buy some groceries, toiletries, soft drinks, ice cream, chocolate, and more. All cabins have internet access and cable TV (Altibox). There is also a washing machine/dryer and a sauna in the service building. Renters have access to our gym, Fjellsvetten.
Lifjellstua, with a cozy restaurant, is only 500 meters from Lifjelltunet, and it’s 12 km to the town of Bø, which offers all kinds of services.
There are five different cabin categories at Lifjelltunet. You can choose to rent a cabin with 4, 5, 6, 7, or 8 beds. In addition, we have two larger cabins with up to 10 beds.
"We aim to make holidays accessible for everyone, though not everyone can do everything – but everyone can do something."
That’s why we are part of the "Inclusive Tourism" network, to gain knowledge about accessibility in our tourism business. If anyone in your group has special needs, please contact us in advance. This way, we can make the best possible arrangements or refer you to another accommodation or a member of the network in our district that can meet your needs.
