Simple cabin in the Wilderness Adventure in Drangedal consisting of a single room with 6 beds. This is a simple and quiet place, perfect for nature experiences, swimming, and fishing. The cabin is rented out in the summer season and is nicely located by an abandoned farmyard, so you will have the entire area to yourselves. The nearest residential house is about 300 meters away. In the old days, the cabin was a resting place for travelers who went from farm to farm in search of work or shelter.
Simple Living
The cabin is simply furnished and has electricity with a basic kitchen in the room. The kitchen has the most necessary kitchen equipment. There is also a small kitchen downstairs. A sink on the 1st floor has hot and cold water. There is no shower here, but you have nice bathing opportunities in the river nearby, which also has drinking water quality. Fun to try something different. And there is an outdoor toilet. Groceries can be bought in Drangedal town center, 15 minutes away.
Activities
There are many nice family-friendly marked hiking trails in the vicinity. The Adventure Trail is only 1 km from the cabin. The bike route following the old "Rallarvegen," which was built to transport crew and equipment in connection with the construction of the Sørlandsbanen railway, is only 50 meters from the place.
Bø Summerland is about 40 minutes away, and it takes about 50 minutes to Kragerø and 20 minutes to Hulfjell visitor farm and Hulfjell water park. Several attractions such as the Telemark Canal, Ulefoss Manor, and Trollbilien are located 20 to 40 minutes away.
If you feel like swimming, there is a bathing area about 300 meters from the cabin. The place is called "the bathing place" and has been used as a swimming area for generations. The fishing lake Nakksjø is only 2 kilometers away from the place. You will receive fishing permits included in the rent.
