Interactive experience trail
This route is out of the ordinary and gives you the chance to team up with our superhero Sildre – a happy little water droplet – on the hunt for the villainous Waterpire Surkula who is trying to pollute our countryside.
Sildre’s story is presented as a cartoon strip at five information posts along the route. In addition to the story of Sildre and Waterpire Surkula, there are some installations where you can try generating power, find out how much water you use during a day, and have a real water fight with Waterpire Surkula, the water vampire.
Starting point
The route starts next to Arbuvollen Fjellbutikk and follows the road west from the store. The walk is signposted along the trail from the car park. You can bring a pushchair or pram with you all the way around the route.
Suitable for wheelchair
The first section of the route, which runs from the store down to the fishing area and vantage point/barbecue site, is suitable for wheelchair users. This stretch of the route features an asphalt/gravel surface and includes a 3% slope for a distance of 500 metres.
Driving directions
The trail is located by the E-134 at Haukelifjell. From the east, it is 21.9 km after the centre of Edland. From the west, it is 10.7 km after Haukeliseter Turisthytte (Tourist Cottage). Parking available next to Arbuvollen Fjellbutikk.
