Skarravegen, Ulefoss - Vrangfoss
Starting point: Ulefoss locks, Ulefos Hovedgaard or Vrangfoss locks
Duration: 1 hour
Difficulty: Easy
The cultural trail «Skarravegen» runs along rolling gravel roads, staying close to the Telemark canal. On the way, trailgoers will pass by Ulefoss Hovedgaard, formerly a very large farm with a beautiful yard and a museum containing old horse driving equipment and carriages. By going over the ports at the Eidsfoss lock, trailgoers end up at the Vrangfoss lock, which with its five lock series is the biggest lock and shows the most impressive engineering on the whole canal.
