The view of the lake Nisser is changing from day to day, which makes the hiking over Langfjell very special. Lake Nisser changes all the time as it is quiet or windy. Every day the view is different.
Description of the trip
The ascent to the mountain can seem heavy. Once you have reached the plateau, Langfjell is very easy to walk. You can sometimes feel like you're hovering with above Nisser.
For good photo motifs, you should take small detours out on the cliff. The dot on the map is the place that many believe provides the best view.
Access
You should have a car to get there. Many have two cars and park one car at Gaurak and drive on to Naurak. Going from north to south, many believe this is what gives the best experience and view.
Langfjell panorama hiking trail runs up on the edge of Langfjell and has two starting points. For both starting points, take the Rv 41 just south of Tveitsund bridge, with signs for Fjone.
First starting point:
After 2.5 km you reach the first starting point, right after a gravel roof, you’ll find Gaurak. There you can park for free. A sign shows the way to the trail.
Second starting point:
The other starting point is Naurak, or Haukåsen cottage village, after a new 4 km.
Both places have signs that show the way to Langfjell with information boards and free parking. Look for blue markings.
