About Nissedal:

The Nisser lake at 37 kilometres long is the largest in Telemark and the seventh largest in Norway.

The name Nissedal is a combination of the words "nid" and "ser" which together mean "the lower lake".

A total of 1450 inhabitants lives here, primarily on the east side where the land is somewhat flatter.
