104 reviewsPadel is a mixture of squash and tennis. It is usually played in a doubles format (four people) on a closed glass court. The court is one-third the size of a tennis court.
The courses can be booked online. It is also open for drop-ins.
Equipment
You can bring your own equipment or rent a racket. If you don't have your own ball, you can buy one.
Tracks can be booked in advance on the website. Equipment is picked up in Cafe Pucken in the Ice Hall. Also possible with drop-in.
Rules
It is most common to play doubles (four people on the court).
Points start with a serve. It is not allowed to serve above hip height. The first point starts from the right part of the court (as in tennis) and the serve must land in the diagonal serve square. You have two servers. The serve cannot hit the side fence, only the glass wall (after bouncing).
It is allowed to use the walls. It is allowed to hit the ball into the wall on the way to the opponent's half or let the ball hit the wall in your own half before hitting the ball over the net. The point is lost when the ball bounces twice on one side.
The ball cannot hit the wall immediately, it must first bounce on the ground.
