Top hike to the majestic mountain peak Hægefjell. The trip offers nice mountain terrain and fantastic views along a well-marked path. For most people, this is a day trip of approx. 6 hours.
You can start at Vrådal Panorama ski center and take the trip up to Tverrfjellet. You can also start at Stemnetten. Drive the toll road (payment terminal for track / credit cards) to the top of the mountain. Parking at Utsikten.
The hiking trail, marked in red, goes past Luktarhola, Sveigefjell, Brennstøylnuten and Hægefjellskardet and up to the top of Hægefjell. From Hægefjell you walk the path back to the starting point. It is also possible to take the trip further down to Nissedal and Fjone.
This is a medium-demanding trip with a great panoramic view of Vrådal and the watercourses Nisser and Vråvatn. The trip is great whether you want to walk all or just parts of the way.
From Stemnetten and inland the mountain you have all the way great views in all directions. You mostly go on mountains, but there are some damp parts. Remember good footwear and windbreaker!
