Beaches and places to swim

In Telemark, there are countless beautiful and varied swimming spots. If you want to swim in the sea, there are several beaches along the entire coast where families can enjoy lazy summer days. Polished rocky shores and sandy beaches invite relaxation and enjoyment. Or find a secluded beach at one of the lakes and swim in a stream on the Hardanger mountain plateau.

Of course, the waterpark Bø Sommarland is a favorite among children. But you will also find swimming pools at Langesund, Skien, and Rjukan. Nevertheless, Telemark also offers fantastic natural swimming spots. How about sliding down the potholes in the natural water park in Treungen or enjoying a swim in clear mountain water? Lake Nisser offers beautiful sandy beaches that offer a feeling of beeing in the mediterainiens, and Seljord features a pebble beach. In Kragerø, you’ll find a city beach and an outdoor pool for children, along with many islands and skerries. Langesund has both indoor and outdoor pools, as well as a great swimming pier by the sea. For those who love to swim, Telemark is an unforgettable experience.
