"Where new ideas and Norwegian homemade traditional food meet"
We have a passion we would like to share with you, a passion for good food made from scratch, with roots in Norwegian traditions. We want to show that traditional food can be both innovative and exciting, and not least, it should be affordable and easy to choose quality, even in a busy everyday life.
Easy access and good parking and charging options
Sjøormen Kro is strategically located by the E 134 in Seljord, in the middle of Sjøormen's kingdom. We even have a sea serpent in the room, but a copy of the mythical figure that can sometimes be seen in the water right next door.
There is easy access and plenty of parking spaces for both cars and larger vehicles.
Here you will also find charging options for your electric car.
Premises with plenty of space both inside and outside
The cozy premises can accommodate approx. 150 guests inside and 50 outside.
Catering services
Sjøormen also has its own catering business and delivers to companies, events and private individuals. The restaurant can offer both ready-made menus and tailoring. Sjøormen Kro has the capacity to serve over 3000 people, and can be helpful with everything from planning to serving. Contact us for more information, or visit the website to see all of the menus, slices, cold tables, tempting desserts and home-baked cakes.
It is also possible to see the menus here: Catering and Company
Adapted for guests with disabilities
At Sjøormen Kro there is easy wheelchair access and the opportunity to drop off right outside the front door. The entrance is on the ground floor, without stairs and steps. There is also an HC toilet at Sjøormen Kro.
