On the way, you will pass Tangendammen, a reminder of the past when ice blocks were produced here for refrigerators in earlier times.

Stretch from Hvalen Beach to Brevik
From Hvalen Beach, a new stretch of coastal trail has been developed. Then you will arrive at a residential area and Heistad Beach, where it's also great to swim. Then a new section of coastal trail on a gravel road through fields, before you reach the old Norcem factories. From here to Brevik, you follow the road.
Viewpoints towards Langesund fjord
Along the entire coastal trail, you will find many great viewpoints overlooking the Langesund Fjord.
Planning and practical information
To get the best start to the journey, it's recommended to park at Mule Varde. From there, you can easily follow the pedestrian path down to Skjelsvik boat harbor, where you will reach the coastal trail itself after about 10 minutes.
