Storgata in Porsgrunn is the location for the art installation ‘Stations’, comprising several porcelain rollers. The artwork is a tribute to Porsgrund Porcelain Factory’s iconic designer, Nora Gulbrandsen.
Husband-and-wife team Odd Fredrik Heiberg and Kari Skoe Fredriksen were involved in creating the artwork together with ‘straw painters’ Astrid Gundersen and Anita Magnussen. The rollers have been mounted side by side in groups, and rotating the rollers reveals endless variations in the artwork’s expression.
