Steinvika is a bay on Langesundstangen, facing south and west on to the Rognsfjord. The bay has rocky beaches. There are cliffs and smooth rocks, and it’s a fantastic place to swim in summer.
You can also experience Steinvika in absolutely foul weather! When there is a southwester sweeping up the Rognsfjord with waves crashing against the cliffs and spray shooting high into the air, many people come here to watch this stormy natural drama play out.
Steinvika is also a nature reserve with, among other things, a protected geological area containing fossils.
