Transport & Information - How to get here – by car
Bamble is located midway between Oslo and Kristiansand. If you drive a car, take off from the E18 at Rugtvedt (from the south) or the exit at Heistad (from the north).
For local buses it is easy to use www.farte.no where all the information about bus routes is located throughout Bamble.
Local buses run from Stathelle to Herre and Valle, and south to Kragerø.
How to get here – by train
The Vestfold railway between Oslo and Porsgrunn/Skien stops at Porsgrunn station. There are departures by bus from Porsgrunn to Bamble municipality every 20 min. See NSB for timetables.
How to get here - by bus
The express buses, which also correspond with routes fim Oslo - Kristiansand , stops at Skjelsvik or at Rugtvedt. Local busses from Skjelsvik to Stathelle and Langesund.

How to get here – by ferry
Fjordline has daily arrivals/departures in Langesund. The ferry goes between Langesund – Hirtshals in Denmark – Bergen.
The ferry terminals in Kristiansand and Larvik are only 2 hours and 45 minutes by car from Langesund and Stathelle, respectively.
Color line has daily arrivals/departures between Hirtshals and Larvik in Vestfold, and between Strømstad in Sweden and Sandefjord in Vestfold. From Larvik you can take a bus and train further to Bamble.
How to get here – by plane
The nearest airport is Sandefjord Torp. It takes about 45 minutes by car from Stathelle/Langesund to Torp.

Train and bus from Torp to Grenland
NSB Vestfoldbanen operates the Oslo – Sandefjord – Porsgrunn – Skien.
All the trains on this route stop at Torp Station, except for the morning and afternoon direct flights. See NSB for a complete overview. From the Torp station there is a free shuttle bus right to the airport. Arrival to the airports will be 8 minutes.
The bus ride is included in the train ticket.
If you want to travel to Torp by train, turn the shuttle bus off the terminal. This drives you to Torp station adapted to the train’s departure times towards Oslo or towards Skien.
On arrival at Porsgrunn, local buses go to Langesund, Stathelle and Herre.
