In Bamble, you can be active in many different ways. Here you can choose from wonderful activities based on nature experiences or sports activities. The archipelago, the coastline, and the inland provide you with many opportunities.
Bamble municipality has a fantastic archipelago. The beaches are almost lined up, here you can just pick and choose. Hydrostranda and Rognstranda are two popular beaches. If the weather isn't the best, you can go to "Badeparken" in Langesund, a tropical water park with 31 degrees in all pools all year round, both outdoors and indoors.
You can go island hopping around the idyllic islands in the Langesundsfjord, swim in sheltered coves, and walk on trails in beautiful nature. Pack your backpack with good food and warm clothes and stay overnight for a night or two in a tent. Join a archipelago cruise down the beautiful Telemark coast to Valle. Along the stops, there are cozy restaurants where you can jump off and return with the boat later on in the day. You can also combine a boattrip with a walk along the coastal path in Bamble, a hiking route for those who like adventurous nature. If you get hungry along the way there are restaurants in Hafsund at "Sjøterrassen" or in Valle. If you don't feel like walking all the way back, book a return with Bamble taxi.
The Coastal Path passes several attractions. UNESCO Global Gea Norvegica Geopark has two interesting visitor parks along the Coastal Path, one at Steinvika and one at Rognstranda. Information boards have been set up that tell the exciting story of the many different organisms that have been preserved as fossils in the rocks at these places.
The Coastal Route is an idyllic bike ride along the sunny coast between Langesund and the summer town of Kragerø. At Sykkel & Tur Gautefall, you can rent electric mountain bikes. Stolpejakten is always popular with both adults and children, and Bamble Golf Club offers favorable weather conditions that actually provide one of the longest golf seasons in Norway, and they have drop-in.
