36 reviewsIn the summer of 2021, the traditional Austbø Hotel reopened. The hotel, which for many years has been called Camp Vierli, has been returned to Austbø Hotell.
The hotel is a family hotel with a personal and relaxing atmosphere, good food and great nature right outside the door near the Hardanger mountain plateau. Here you can enjoy a relaxing weekend or holiday - at nice prices.
The rooms
The hotel has a total of 27 rooms, divided into twin rooms, triple rooms and quadruple rooms. Most rooms have a private bathroom while some rooms have shared bathrooms and toilets on the same floor. All rooms include breakfast. You also have the opportunity to buy an affordable packed lunch and dinner at the hotel.
Common room with panoramic views and free internet
There is free internet throughout the hotel, several inviting lounges, a terrace with nice outdoor areas and its own large playroom for the children. Free parking right outside the hotel with charging for electric cars.
Summer on Austbø with hiking, swimming, fishing and kayaking
Austbø Hotell is located in the middle of the beautiful Rauland nature with plenty of walks in the mountains and plains. Just below the hotel you will find lake Tansvatn and lake Lognvikvatn, with a strait in between that you can paddle through. Here there are also good bathing places with a nice temperature. An excellent destination for the family is, for example, Fagersand, a recently developed sandy beach a short walk from Austbø. Canoes and SUP boards can also be rented at the hotel. If you are interested in fishing, there are many opportunities in the small lakes, contact the reception and the staff will be happy to help you with a fishing license.
Winter on Austbø in Rauland with cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, husky rides and snowmobiling
Austbø hotel is located in Rauland which is known as a snow-sure winter destination. In winter, you can strap on your cross-country skis and go out on a trail network with 150km of cross-country trails. Alpine resorts nearby have trails for beginners, children's areas, advanced slopes, fine off piste areas and randonée. Here you will also find ski school, play area, restaurants, ski rental etc. You can rent a snowmobile with a day pass or join a guided snowmobile safari in the high mountains of Rauland. If you want an unforgettable winter experience, you can take a trip with Telemark Husky and their dog team.
Ski bus
As a guest you can take the ski bus for free and it takes you to the ski resorts Tiur, Holtardalen and Raulandsfjell.
