Our landscape, with its many different rocks, tells an exciting and very long story!
In the Geopark's visitor centre, the very longest story of Vestfold and Telemark is told, spanning a full 1,500 million years.
In the center you will find various rocks, minerals, mammoth teeth, dinosaur models, microscopes, video installations, maps, exhibitions and more.
What does sand look like under the microscope or what can you see in a drop of water when the organisms "bloom" in the spring? Or maybe there are some radioactive rocks in the exhibition?
The visitor center usually has a geologist on hand who is happy to answer questions or show around. Opening hours: Weekdays 10am-3pm.
