This hike starts in Høgås and ends at Eikeskartoppen. Follow the trail from the parking space in Høgås all the way to the top. On a sunny day you get a breathtaking view of lake Heddalsvannet, Notodden and tall, wild mountaintops far away in the horizon. If you take the hike to Eikeskartoppen on a day with low-lying clouds or fog, Eikeskartoppen usually lies edge to edge with the clouds, making it seem like you can step out on the clouds, but don’t do that – it is several hundred meters down to the ground below. The hike takes one hour there and back again. Make sure you sign your name in the visitors book at the top. Enjoy!
