This hike starts at Nordstul and goes to the highest point on Blefjell Mountain, Bletoppen. This walk takes you through forests, marshland and mountainous landscapes, all the way to the top where you will find a panoramic view straight out of a fairytale. Bletoppen lies at an altitude of 1342 meters. Along the way you may spend the night at Sigridsbu, the Norwegian Trekking Associations cabin on Blefjell Mountain, if so you will need to obtain a key in advance since there is no staff at Sigridsbu. The hike takes 3,5 hours there and back again and is a bit of a challenge, but should be reachable for most. The trail from the parking at Nordstul to Bletoppen is marked, “Blefjell 1:30 000” is the map of the area. Storeblevegen is a toll road.
Access: From Notodden city centre, follow E134 direction Kongsberg, Follow signs to Bolkesjø and continue 22km along FV602, turn left at Bolkesjø and continue on RV37 and follow signs to Storeble, turn right and continue to the end of the road at Nordstul parking lot.
