Right next to the sea, at the far end of Levangsheia lies Stangnes. This archipelago gem is the perfect area for enjoying delicious summer days, whether you are young or old. Out here you will find beautiful, smooth-cut rocks and plenty of possibilities to find a beautiful spot to spend the day. When the sun shines strongest on a sumptuous summer day, you can dive into the refreshing water and cool down before you find a nice spot and let the sun dry you, while enjoying the sound of the waves that hit this amazing landscape. If there’s windy there’s no problem finding shelter in the area's many small dumps and sheds. If you leave your picnic basket, you can buy delicious coffee and freshly prepared waffles every Saturday and Sunday from the small house on the site, which is run by the tourist association. Taking your fishing rod with you also gives you an excellent opportunity to try your luck at one of Kragerø's best fishing spots.
Stangnes is located on Portørveien and the sign shows the path to the parking lot. The tranquility is ensured by the fact that it is not possible to drive a car the entire way down, but it is also not far or difficult to walk from the parking lot to this beautiful swimming area.
