About

Welcome to a tradition rich hotel with a wonderful atmosphere, known for its team of local, friendly staff and great food. Heated with clean, green energy since 2005, Morgedal Hotel also has the honour of being the first hotel in Norway to use a bio energy plant for all its heating requirements including the large indoor pool. No small achievement, especially considering winter temperatures can drop to as low as 25 degrees below zero! The hotel is located on a sunny hill side which doubles as a ski slope in the winter. Guests enjoy peaceful views of the lake and the famous northern hills of Morgedal – home to ski legends, Sondre Norheim and Olav Bjaaland to name just two.

Positioned almost halfway between the east and west coasts, the hotel provides an excellent resting place on the journey along the E134 - and as such makes a great base for your visit to Telemark and Southern Norway
