At the Porcalain museum next door, you can see over 1,000 objects and digital installations which show the factory's long history. The Porcelain Museum has many workshops for adults and activities for children.
A popular place to visit for children is Du-Verden Maritime Museum + Science Centre. Here there are many exciting and educational activities for both young and old. The children never get tired of being here.
Island hopping to the islands in Langesundsfjorden is one of Telemark's finest coastal experiences. You can take a ferry to nine different islands from Brevik or Langesund, you can jump from island to island, go on walking- and cycling tours, or if you want to camp, there are many open areas to choose from. Brevik belongs to Porsgrunn municipality and is a charming little coastal town idyllically located by the Eidangerfjord. Here everything is almost like in the old days, with narrow streets that wind between the old, proud wooden houses. The town is proud of its statue of King Chulalongkorn, the king of Thailand who visited Brevik in 1907.
