About

The actual forest tour starts at Kalstad. It´s possible to park near the supermarket Kiwi and follow the "Sommerfjøsveien" through "Hestehagen" till you find the old walkway up to Storkollen. (There is a possibility to park a few cars right next to the old walkway at Rørviklia!)  From this point on you will need to walk for another 30 minutes to reach the viewpoint. This walkway was built in the 1890s by Kragerø beautification company. It is build of large stones and leads almost all the way up to the top. A sign shows the direction to the actual viewpoint (150 meters above sea level). Here you will find benches and tables, so that you can enjoy your packed lunch while watching the amazing archipelago. In the mailbox you find a guestbook in which you can immortalize your visit. From Storkollen, you can follow a blue-marked route around Sjåen, before moving on from the Radio mast and down to your car.
