About

Join Kragerø Taxibåt on a sightseeing trip among the islands and skerries on the coast of Kragerø, to visit the skillfull and internationally recognised feltmaker May Hvistendahl on Skåtøy island.

The taxi boat will pick you up on the doc next to where the ferry docs in Kragerø town centre. From there you will be taken on a trip among the islands to Korset and go for a nice stroll approximately 800 metres to May's workshop. .

Here you will learn about merino wool and silk. The course lasts for 2 hrs and you will make a beautiful lantern using a special technique and exclusive material. You will of couse be able to take your lantern home with you.

This is a great group activity for groups up to 8 people. The workshop is not very big, so if you are more than 8 people you can divide into smaller groups. No previous knowladge of felt making is needed for this cours, all beginners are welcome.

May also makes hats, clothes, wedding dresses etc. which you will be able to see when you visit. Maybe you would also like to make a purchase - it's all up to you, but it's an exciting place to visit.
