Dalen has a small, cozy commercial and service center with shops, cafés, tourist information, tourism businesses and social meeting places. The waterfront towards the Bandak and Telemark Canal is facilitated for activities and use of the lake; with walking trail along the waterfront - Bufjordstigen, beach with barbecue areas, sand volleyball courts, Soria Moria Sauna, caravan camp and harbor area with a marina for small boats.
