Geocaching in Bamble

Bamble has more than 500 caches waiting to be discovered. All you need to get started is a smartphone or GPS.

Create an account at https://www.geocaching.com. It’s free, and there’s an app too.

Once you’ve signed up and created your nickname, you’re ready to go! Click on a cache you want to find and follow your choice of route by phone or GPS. When you find the cache, sign the logbook using your nickname. You can also log the cache online at https://www.geocaching.com or using the app on your phone.

One important thing to remember is that some caches are ‘swap/treasure boxes’. If you remove something, you must replace it with something of equivalent value. Some of these boxes also contain trackables, which can be various items with numbers/letters on. These are not treasure/swaps, but items/tokens that travel/are moved from cache to cache.
