The center is a fun place to take children and young people to learn about physics and science in a smart and interesting way. Here you will find exciting interactions and new ways to experience technical laws. You learn while playing.
What can you experience at DuVerden
Here you will find many fun activities for both children and adults. 3D cinema, weather table and ship simulator are some of the things you can experience here. The weather table illustrates weather and wind in a new way. Spin hard on the turntable in the table and a fan will produce wind up in storm strength. Do you want to try yourself as a captain? In the ship simulator you can steer a ship on the river, up towards Skien or out Brevikstrømmen. The new simulator takes you to the busy container port where the task is to load the ship efficiently and safely. Harder than you think, fortunately it does not matter if you make a mistake.
3D cinema
The amphitheater seats 48 people, and this is used, among other things, for viewing 3D films. Short films are shown here several times a day.
Watch the 3D cinema program.
Café
The café with terrace for sunny days is located right on the river bank.
Children's birthdays
Kids love to celebrate their birthday at DuVerden. On such a day, the children get to play in the exhibition on the 2nd floor. A 3D film is shown, which the children themselves pick out. The birthday child also receives a separate gift card from DuVerden. And DuVerden's birthday hosts do their very best to make the celebration both fun and inspiring.
