"Do as the locals" is something many tourists desire. In Bamble, the innhabitants walks along the coastal path or take a hike to the numerous accessible hills within the forest of Bambles.

Experience the beautiful coastal path in Bamble, which stretches between Stathelle and Fossing, near the border of Kragerø. It follows the coastline almost the entire way through enchanting nature, offering everything you could wish for in an eventful hiking trip.

On the island Langøya, you will find a coastal path that forms a circular route. Langøya is located just outside Langesund and spans a length of 2.9 km from north to south. Due to its rich diversity of species, it was protected as a Landscape Protection Area in 2006. Take a trip here and experience a unique piece of coastal culture, with beaches, calcareous pine forests, beach meadows, and rocky outcrops.

The mountains in Bamble are not very high, and the highest and most popular peak is Hørsfjell, standing at 288 meters above sea level. The trees on this low hill are beautiful, mysterious, and intertwined pine trees. Vardås, at 86 meters above sea level, is another popular summit located along the coastal path, suitable for both adults and children. The trail offers a delightful taste of what the Coastal Path has to offer. From both of these peaks, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the archipelago.

One of the most beautiful hiking areas with breathtaking views is Rognsåsen. It offers an easy and pleasant hike for the whole family and is a perfect spot for camping with hammocks.
