Great hiking trail
One of the popular hiking trails stretches between the ferry docks in Risøysundet and Svensvika. Here you can follow a marked path through enchanting forests. The hike takes you through gently rolling terrain and passes through the large grasslands of Andedammen and Gardsbukta. These areas are perfect for families, with nice resting spots and safe swimming areas.
Tangane recreational area
At Tangane recreational area, located at the southern tip of the island, you will find great opportunities for fishing and swimming. The cliffs and small sandy beaches provide access to a unique experience. From the cliffs, you can enjoy a first-class view of the ship traffic through Dypingen. In this area, you will also find a variety of large and small potholes, which are geological formations formed by glaciers during the Ice Age.
