In Seljord it is the big oar fish that lures. Vallaråi is one of the most popular fishing spots, especially if you fish from land, but be aware that there is a ban on fishing in the northern hemisphere from mid September to November.
Seljordsvannet has a good stock of large fishing farms, and is working actively to develop the fish stock, but steikefisk of 400-500 grams is probably the most common. There are also plenty of whitefish, as well as some perch, char and eel. Fishing licenses for Seljordsvannet can be purchased at camping sites in Seljord and Telesport at Telesenteret.
At Lifjell there are many great fishing waters with trout. Good fishing waters are Grantjønn, Deildtjønn, 1075 and Austre Damtjønn. Boat and yarn are offered for rent at some locations.
