Guided tour
Jomfruland is full of sights, some of them: The two lighthouses, the pebble beach, the oak forest, the open-air church, the largest ash tree in the Nordics, the bird-watching tower, seaweed places and the tower pond where the artist Theodor Kittelsen got inspiration for his painting "Nøkken" (the Neck, the Nokk).
If you are in Jomfruland, it is almost a must to join a guided tour. Then you will visit most of these places, and you can enjoy Jomfruland's unique natural and cultural landscape. The island is an important part of Europe's geology and part of an area with extremely large geological diversity both in national and international context. Since 2016 Jomfruland is a National Park!
DNT Jomfrulandguiden, Ruth Ellegård offers guided tours with stories about the life on the island Jomfruland. The tours can vary from 1- 2 hours and upwards, incl. lighthouse visit if desired. She can compile trips after your wishes and number of visitors. Many additional activities are offered, such as nature trail with quizz, contests and competitions. Take your work colleagues with you and have a little "kick-off" with stories, competitions and adventures on the beautiful island Jomfruland. Ruth will gladly help you with the boat/ferry- transport, food and beverages.
